Guadalupe Cruz

Guadalupe Cruz is a MA candidate in Political Science and Development Studies at McGill University. She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations by the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, where she collaborated with the Department of Iberian and Latin American Studies as a research assistant. She also participated in an academic exchange at the University of Valparaiso as a grantee of the Pacific Alliance and the Chilean Agency for International Cooperation. She was in charge of international programs and collaboration for match-funding at the Institute of Finance and Information for Education of the Government of Guanajuato, Mexico;  where she developed partnerships with different organizations for educational opportunities such as Coursera, Mitacs Inc and the Ibero-American General Secretariat, to name some. In her proposed thesis, she researches on education policies and skills for employment in the Latin American region, as federal and state governments are challenged securing access and coverage for education alone while essential skills for employment security in a globalized economy change rapidly.
