Laurie-Ève Beauchamp

Laurie-Ève Beauchamp is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science at McGill University. She holds an Honours Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Modern Languages (CO-OP) from the University of Ottawa. The CO-OP mention of her undergraduate program, more specifically her work with Global Affairs Canada, allowed her to gain practical experience and deeper knowledge of Latin America, particularly Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. Her work to support the Forum of Federations’s Empowering Women for Leadership Roles in the MENA Region project enhanced her interest in gender politics and governance. She intends to specialize her research on Latin American politics, more specifically on current anti-rights movements, state-society relations and Indigenous rights.
