Maria Fernanda Aguilar Lara
Maria Fernanda Aguilar Lara is a Ph.D. student in Social Psychology at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and holds a M.A. in Social Psychology at the same university. She is a research assistant at the Center of Metropolitan Studies of the Center of Analysis and Planning (CEM/CEBRAP) in Brazil. Her studies have focused on understanding the operationalization of the social assistance policies in Brazil, discussing the relation between meaning-making processes and institutional structures. She works with discourse and institutional theories and qualitative methods in an interdisciplinary dialogue with areas such as Social Psychology, Political Science and Public Policy. Specifically, in her research, she studies the relationship between Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and the State in the production of social assistance policies in Brazil.
