Last Friday, September 11, we held the ÉRIGAL Fall 2026 kick-off at UQAM! 🍂
We began the day with a meeting among the faculty members of the team to organize the activities for this semester and start planning for the upcoming winter term.
We then welcomed our students, who are at the heart of our team. We revisited ÉRIGAL’s different research areas and the opportunities offered by being part of the team, including access to master’s and doctoral scholarships. We also took part in an activity to get to know one another better and move beyond being simply a research team, with the aim of building a true school of thought and a network of mutual support.
We ended the day at a bar near UQAM with the launch of the book livre Unequal Democracy., edited by Françoise Montambeault and Tina Hilgers, featuring contributions from many of our dear colleagues. The book is also a tribute of sorts to Philip Oxhorn, professor and mentor.
We also launched ÉRIGAL’s new podcast, a project led by Danielle Coenga-Oliveira and Marc-André Anzueto, with technical support from Jessica Ramos, and featuring the participation of Nora Nagels and Françoise Montambeault.
