My research is situated within the field of feminist theories and (Afro-)Latin American and decolonial political thought. I hold a PhD in Political Science and Feminist Studies (Université du Québec à Montréal, 2024), a Master’s in International Studies (Université de Montréal, 2016), and a Master’s in Social Psychology (University of Brasília – Brazil, 2011). My work engages with discussions on (anti-)gender, human rights, heteronormativity, coloniality, necropolitics, and critiques of liberal democracy.
My current research focuses on analyzing anti-feminist, anti-gender, anti-LGBTQIA+, and anti-human rights discourse and policies. More specifically, I examine the relationship between these policies—which oppose the expansion of the rights of women and LGBTQIA+ people—and the process of democratic backsliding and de-democratization in Brazil.
Since 2018, I have had the pleasure of being part of ERIGAL—first as a doctoral student and, since 2025, as a member of the faculty team..
