I am a PhD student in Political Science at the Université de Montréal, under the supervision of Françoise Montambeault. My research interests include collective action, democratic erosion, and participatory mechanisms, with a particular focus on Brazil. My dissertation seeks to understand how urban collectives in Porto Alegre are adapting to the gradual degradation of a participatory mechanism around which they had long been structured: participatory budgeting.
I hold a Master's degree in International Relations (2019) and a Master's degree in Sociology and Anthropology (2020), both from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. I am also a member of the Canada Research Chair in Participation and Citizenship(s), a doctoral fellow at CÉRIUM (UdeM), and an associate researcher at AmericaS (ULB).
