I obtained my PhD in Political Science from McGill University (Montreal) in 2006. I have been a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal since June 2007.

My current research focuses on two main areas
- The role of the media in the constitution and governance of sub-national (state) public spaces
- The resilience of authoritarian forms of governance and conflict management, and their renewal under new political conditions
