I am a PhD candidate in sociology at Université Laval, and my research is entitled Social Technology and the Struggle for the Right to Housing within the Homeless Workers’ Movement (MTST). Under the supervision of Dan Furukawa Marques, I focus more specifically on the critical pedagogical and technological experience of the MTST’s technology sector, the second largest social movement in Brazil. I also hold a master’s degree in philosophy of science from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, as well as a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the same institution.
Alongside my academic career, I have been involved in inspiring projects, notably at the publishing house of the Philosophical Association Scientiae Studia and as a volunteer and translator with the Landless Workers’ Movement. This combination of work and engagement has equipped me with the critical tools necessary to reflect on new technologies, their impact on our society, and the ways in which social movements are appropriating them today.
