tadrm5@gmail.com

I am currently working on my Master’s Thesis with the University of Freiburg. I have the privilege to have my project, currently entitled Cultures of Solidarity — Successful International Coalitions Between Anti-Fossil Fuel Advocates, supervised by Dr. Jean François Mayer (Concordia University) and Dr. Cristina Espinosa (University of Freiburg). I finished my Bachelor’s of Arts and Science at McMaster University where I wrote a thesis on sustainable agriculture and sustainable diet-adoption amongst university students. I have been involved in community agriculture and social movements in a number of locations and look forward to more involvement in Montreal!

My current thesis was influenced by participatory research with social movement coalitions and has been integral to co-developing my methodologies. Utilizing semi-structured interviews, the next phase of our research is set to begin this August. My studies and experiences have been quite broad, researching Zapatista’s food sovereignty movements, Indigenous food systems’ role in international discourse, and varied other projects pertaining to land governance and food systems. I have also worked on transdisciplinary research projects in the EU pertaining to pollinator restoration in agricultural settings.
